The Login

This month has been another eventful month for the zine. I am proud to say that we have been increasing our viewership and we as well are improving our content. I find it particularly pleasing to be so absorbed with the leadership of the zine that I find it difficult to find time to write for it! That being said all of the contributors have put in an excellent effort.

I like the idea of putting a bit of a pep talk into the login just to see the controversy. With last months issue I put out “The Mentality” which received some heated debate.  I called to action everybody to put in the effort and make things happen. “Take steps to improve the overall mentality of our community. However fit!”.

Whether this months activity has been a result of that post or not, we have definitely seen an increased involvement this month. At the top level we have established new leadership of CAIS. At the bottom level we have begun to release classes. Keep it up community! We need more of this.

Bring it back

Anybody who has been around since the early days can remember a time when the forums were fun and addictive. Lets put our backs into this and bring back that mentality. If that means a useless post which is just fun, post it! Reply to all the posts you can! Contribute to meaningful discussion!

This doesn’t mean to troll. Enjoy the forums and make it worthwhile for everyone.

Anyone who starts a thread on the public forum which receives 10 responses will receive +v in irc for a month! If you hit 20, you get an accomplishment as well!

Final Point

I would like to announce that CAU has delivered its first class in a while. Intro to Dinah was taught on 25 Nov 09 in #class. The next lesson will be at the same time on 2 Dec covering Java.
