  1. What is the back story on yourhandle. No back story per se… it’s just the name of a ‘character’ in a game that I used to enjoy playing.
  2. Member Since? Some point in 1999 or 2000 or something
  3. Why did you join? Boredom
  4. What are some of the things you have done in C.A. , such as past/current projects and brigades? Well, I used to be C/O of CAER/CSA/CASOS.
  5. Things you have done for C.A. as a leader? I made a few posts in the staff forum, spoke to people on IRC, pestered people with cMS messages…
  6. What is your most memorable moment within C.A.? shn and his /thefinger macro.
  7. Who was the most annoying person you have encountered in C.A? grumpydog.
  8. Why? Long story, but the guy was a complete and utter idiot :)
  9. Do you have any proteges floating around? Nope :)
  10. Why or why not? I guess nobody wants to learn from a Lisp hacker :)
  11. Who was the most influential person here in C.A? ChanServ. Seriously though, too many to list.
  12. Through the recent ‘recession’ of C.A why did you stay? What did you feel you could give? I actually left due to real-life commitments, then came back when FriSp invited me back.
  13. What have you seen happen or change since you joined C.A? I’ve seen the brigade system introduced, the mission system revamped, the move from cyberarmy.com to cyberarmy.net, the projects system introduced, enstyne get drunk etc etc
  14. What do you regret, if anything, about what has happened to C.A? No regrets.
  15. What do you wish you could change about C.A? Not sure yet :)
  16. What direction do you see C.A heading in? Not sure about this one either :)
  17. What do you consider yourself here in C.A? A long-haired Lisp freak who wants to replace everything with something written in Lisp.
  18. What is your definition of a hacker? The 1970s MIT definition (see Jargon Files)
  19. What is the difference in white, gray, and black hats, to you? Their colour.
  20. Do you work with computers in real life? Yes.. I’m a programmer and systems administrator
  21. What are your specialties, what do you bring to C.A? I have no specialities… other than smoking and drinking.
  22. What do you think that C.A needs to do in order to change the direction it has gone in and bring it back to the glory days of yore? I think we need to move forwards and create a whole new ‘glory days’ era.
  23. What is your favorite C.A. past time? idling in #cyberarmy.
  24. Ideas for future C.A. fun, brigades, or projects? Not sure about this lot :)
  25. What do you consider is C.A. greatest accomplishments? The brigade system
  26. What are your favorite tools? Anything from Black & Decker.
  27. What is your favorite OS or distro? NEXTSTEP 3.3, OPENSTEP 4.2, and MacOS X.
  28. What is your favorite piece of hardware? Symbolics Lisp Machine :)
  29. Who do you think has done the most for C.A? enstyne, wa1800z, and chawmp.
  30. Who, in your opinion, had the greatest influence on you or computers in general? Donald Knuth, Guy Steele, Paul Graham, Alan Kay, Marvin Minsky, Gerald Sussman.
