Featuring Opt
By: Gamma Cpt AlDeA911
This is a new article which will be a regular for the magazine. This feature gives us an idea of who active member in the community really is.
rev: So, opt welcome to the group. How long have you been a member of CybeArmy?
opt: About 2 years I think. I initially just joined the irc because I heard about a rather large group of “haxors”.
rev: Hoxors? Nope, none here, in Cazine anyways. So, what have you done for the last two years? Were you one of the many members that took a short hiatus?
opt: No hiatus, did some work for various companies as a network engineer. Started taking my computing knowledge to the business world. It helped me hone my programming/networking skills.
rev: That is amazing! There is no better pursuit than the pursuit of knowledge. So, since you are an engineer you must have a decent job. Want to join my
Investment Group? Just kidding. So, what have you done for CA?
opt: Not much really. Like I said the whole thing started out with irc slumming. Then I discovered there were some brilliant people here. Only recently have I started down the grandiose path of contribution. Two memorable things. I was here during the last staff election (voted makat) and have been involved in various brainstorming sessions for things like a CA-wide VPN and new challenges.
rev: There are brilliant people here that is for sure. That is amazing. I have not heard about the VPN thing, I remember one project Volound. Final question. What do you hope to accomplish with us here?
opt: Hm, let’s see. I like collaborative projects. Things like exchanging IDA databases so you and some friends can break something or staying up all night on skype talking about the latest hack. So my goal is to get a project going, something I can’t do alone, and have fun doing it.
